Window, Door and Conservatory repairs.

Identifying problems

During general maintenance The Window Dr Repairs may identify potential problems that you may have and put them right, during the installation of a new window mechanism we noticed that the customers fanlight opener was too low which meant the cam on the old mechanism was hitting the frame of the window and damaging it over time. As well as installing a new mechanism we also removed the fanlight and adjusted the hinges to give the clearance needed to shut the window.

Do you live by the coast?

Salt air will cause havoc with your windows and doors, if you don't maintain them yourselves, you could end up with seized windows. Salt will corrode your door handles if not washed with soapy water occasionally. If the salt corrodes your window mechanism you will find that they jam shut and you won't be able to turn the handle to open the window. Under these circumstances the window dr can try to open a seized window which isn't always possible, if unsuccessful there won't be any cost to you for trying, if we're successful, we will charge a small amount for the time to release the window and then you would have the cost of a new window mech on top. For the same cost you could get your whole house serviced once a year to help slow down the corrosion, we would also check any other requirements you may need during the service and provide you with a free no obligation quotation.

Why not call The Window Dr Repairs today and enquire about a full service of all your opening windows and doors.
